Project completion

After more than three years, the mFUND project BaLSaM has now officially come to an end. What began in November 2022 with a goal – not only to calculate road traffic noise, but to make it audible, assessable, and thus integratable into planning processes – is now a simulation toolchain that opens up new possibilities for urban planners, transportation planners, and researchers.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has accompanied us on this journey: to our funding agency, the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV), for its support within the framework of the mFUND initiative; and to all cooperation partners, conference participants, and interested parties who have enriched our work with feedback, discussions, and suggestions. Last but not least, our thanks go to all those who have followed this news blog over the years.

As soon as the final report is completed, we will of course link to it here on this website.
